PRINCIPAL
Position Summary:
CWAA is seeking a dynamic, spiritually grounded, and visionary Principal to lead our school community. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for Adventist education, a collaborative leader, and a role model of Christian values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual leadership and uphold the mission and values of CWAA.
- Oversee the academic program and ensure alignment with Alberta Education and Adventist curriculum standards.
- Lead and support faculty and staff in professional growth and instructional excellence.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging school culture. – Collaborate with parents, church leaders, and the wider community.
- Manage school operations, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education or related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Valid Alberta teaching certification or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in educational leadership.
- Active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to Christian education and student success.
- Leadership Quality Standard (LQS) Certification

ELEMENTARY TEACHER
Chinook Winds Adventist Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist Academy located in the growing City of Calgary, Alberta on 22 acres of land surrounded by trees and wildlife. With 260 students in grades K-12, planned for the upcoming school year, CWAA is seeking a full time Elementary school teacher. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, Christ centred teacher with a desire to become involved with the teaching team in support of our mission reflected in the following statement: “Engaging students to follow God completely, serve unselfishly, and achieve excellence.” Our teaching team works together in a collaborative manner to accomplish this mission by creating a nurturing, innovative environment where every student is expected to achieve a high standard of personal academic excellence, behaviour, and service.
This position requires the individual to be eligible to hold both SDA and Alberta teaching certification.
