Update: Road Closure

The road signs have been up for a long time but we now have more details on the road closure of 1st Avenue SW that a majority of our school traffic utilizes daily. The closure is now in effect as of May 9th and will extend all the way to July 5th. We have gotten semi-used to construction around the school but please make sure you account for the changing road conditions, detours, and reduced speed limits within posted construction zones. Leave a few minutes early to avoid rushing through these areas and risking worker safety and possible speed infractions. There have been updated detour signs to more accurately represent the intended flow of traffic through the construction zone. A sandwich board has also been put out at the meridian location with CWAA signage indicating where to turn and the direction of the school.

Optionally, school traffic can utilize the route east of the lower traffic circle right below the school and route through Winsport. The speed limit in the Winsport complex is 30km/h so be aware of that if taking this route.

Why should I choose CWAA?

At Chinook Winds, we go beyond academics by using a holistic approach that encourages students to develop mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually.

As Christian educators we believe that your children have been fearfully and wonderfully created in God’s image (Psalms 139:14). We believe that God loves your children with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3) and He desires that your children learn to know Him in return (Hosea 13:4). We believe that God has given your children unique gifts and abilities (Romans 12:6) and He has a specific plan and purpose for everyone (Philippians 2:13).

Our commitment to you is that we will provide every student that comes to CWAA with a secure, caring, and stimulating environment in which he/she can grow and mature physically, intellectually, socially, and spiritually. We strive to provide an education where every student will experience a high degree of success while developing a love and enthusiasm for learning. It is our aim to inspire and motivate our students to achieve their full potential and achieve excellence.

What others have to say about CWAA

2024-25 Online Registration

Registration is now currently open for all families and new student registrations will be considered and processed for any available classroom openings.

Classroom spots are currently oversubscribed for Kindergarten to grade 7, so any new registrations for these grades will be placed on a waitlist. It is recommended to contact our registrars office before proceeding with a new application for these grades.

At this time there are spots available for each grade in secondary (grades 8 – 12) but these can fill up fast over the summer break. We are seeing high demand for new student interest at CWAA, so it is imperative that any families planning to return for the 2024-25 school year register promptly or they risk losing their place.

New families with applications for grades that are oversubscribed, or returning families who have incomplete registrations will be placed on a waitlist and processed on a chronological basis. For more information on waitlists, please contact reception using the contact form on this website or by calling the main phone number.

Click on the “Register Now” button to take you to the online registration information page.
