Principal’s Message:

Graduation Reflections, 2017

As I reflect back on the weekend events of our Grade 12 graduation I am filled with gratitude. I am grateful, not only because I was able to participate in the ceremonies as a mom, but grateful because I was able to witness 16 children reach the end of their childhood education journey. As I watched the graduates march boldly up onto the stage, I contemplated the unfolding plans God has in store for each of our graduates! Our graduates are heading off to study a variety of programs, skills and trades at Burman University, University of Calgary, Southern Institute of Technology, Mount Royal University, Ambrose University, University of Toronto, Walla Walla University, Oakwood University, etc.

We thank God that He has provided each of our graduates with gifts and talents that will be uncovered in the coming years. Ellen White says, “The specific place appointed us in life is determined by our capabilities. Each should aim just as high as the union of human with divine power makes it possible for him to reach.” (Education, p 268) As our graduates leave our school, we pray that they will aim high and engage in the great law of life – the law of “service”. We pray that God will continue to equip them to do their best at whatever “lies nearest”. Finally, regardless of their chosen lifework or pursuits, we pray that each will follow the great commission command to “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15) Congratulations 2017 CWAA Graduates: Stephen Adede, Rebecca Alai, Claudette Banaag, Mark Basiliano, Wayne Basiliano, Gregory Brewster, Chelsea Diwa, Kanchana Bergonio, William Icard, Joel Navarrete, Felicia Outh, Dobrin Paskalev, Celeste Richardson, Ines Ruzindana, Alayna Schulze, Amanda Webster!  Boldly go forward to your appointed place!

Chaplain’s Message:

As we approach the end of the school year, some of our students and families are probably experiencing some anxiety. There are exams coming up. There may be moves or transitions taking place over the summer. For our Grade 12 graduates, there is a whole world of university and career options coming up. Whatever might be bringing anxiety into your life at this time of the year, may you remember that God wants to give you His peace! May God “guard your hearts and minds” (Philippians 4:7 NLT) each day and hour and minute as this school year rapidly comes to a close.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6–7, NLT)
