CWAA ANTI-BULLYING AWARENESS WEEK: CWAA is proud to be participating in an Anti-Bullying Awareness Week, February 5-9. This important event is happening because we know our school (just like any other school) is not immune to bullying and we can make a difference through education and awareness. Bullying is a community issue and not solely a school problem. We invite all community members (parents, pastors, community partners) to join us!   This week is intended to build relationships among our students, educate our community (students and parents) about bullying behaviors and how to stop bullying, as well as engaging in acts of compassion. Some of our activities could include: “Caught You Caring Campaign”, classroom pairings to build relationships and empathy skills, Anti-Bullying Assembly, Dress Up Day and ‘Stand Up To Bullying’ Bracelets. Parents, please join us in prayer as we use this event to continue building a culture of respect and compassion at CWAA! Take time to speak with your children about this important topic.

CWAA’S ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE:  All interested families are invited to attend this open house on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5-8 pm.   Come meet the fantastic teachers, take a school tour, find out about CWAA’s vision & mission, see how CWAA is different from all other Calgary schools and mingle with other parents! There will be refreshments, door prizes and plenty of great things to learn! For more information, go to CWAA’s website, cwaa.net

CWAA’S ANNUAL FRIEND DAY: All interested students are invited to come to CWAA on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 8:30 to 1:20 pm for the day! This event will provide current Grades 1-12 students with an authentic experience at CWAA (Kindergarten Friend Day will be held at a later date). Chaplain’s Message:

“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of His Son while we were still His enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of His Son.” (Romans 5:6–10 NLT)

Do you know the Son? If not, why not make the choice to get to know Him today!
