CWAA OPEN HOUSE THIS THURSDAY, FEB 16th: We are excited about the future and would like to invite all interested families and students to attend our Annual Open House this Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. This event is intended for our current families to bring new, interested families to check CWAA out. Our Open House will give families an opportunity to tour the school, visit classrooms, talk to teachers and hear about CWAA’s vision for the future.
As an incentive for our current families to bring new families to our Open House we will be entering your name into a draw for free prizes (Registration Fee Vouchers, iPad Mini, engraved Bible, and Gift Certificates). In addition, we would also like to remind you that CWAA has a Referral Tuition Incentive Program. Families that are instrumental in bringing a new family to CWAA will receive a $250 tuition discount per newly enrolled family.
PLEASE NOTE: Our 2017-2018 Registration officially begins at Open House. Your re-registration package will be sent home with the youngest child in your family sometime during this week. In planning ahead for the upcoming school year we ask that all families submit their completed registration packages into the school office in a timely manner.

Your gift cards will be delivered to CWAA within 1 week after the order deadline. Click the button below to access an order form.
ALBERTA EDUCATION ACCOUNTABILITY PILLAR SURVEY: It’s that time of year where Alberta Education is seeking your input about the education we are delivering at CWAA! From January to the end of February, Alberta Education will be conducting its annual “Accountability Pillar Survey”. The Accountability Pillar Survey assesses various aspects of quality; student outcomes, provincial assessments of student learning, community engagement and satisfaction, school experience, etc. Within the next few weeks, all CWAA parents will receive a survey from Alberta Education in the mail. In February, CWAA students and all teachers will be completing their surveys online at school. All surveys are anonymous. In addition to English and French, the parent survey is available in Chinese, Punjabi, Arabic, Blackfoot, Cree, Korean, Spanish and Tagalog. Your participation in the survey helps provide important information on the quality of education your child is receiving at CWAA, so we encourage you to return your survey promptly. Survey results will be available to school authorities in May 2017. Thank you for your participation in this important process!
PRAYING PARENTS: Come join this group for prayer this Thursday morning, February 16th, in the school lobby. They meet on Thursdays to pray for our school, our staff, our students and our families. All are welcome! (Please note they will not meet next week on Feb 23rd due to a short week.)

Jonah didn’t want to do what God asked him to do! Maybe he was afraid – after all, the people of Nineveh were enemies of his people. Maybe he was lazy. Maybe he didn’t want to risk making a fool out of himself. Whatever the case, he chose to disobey God. Through his disobedience, he allowed other people to be in danger. In a physical sense, his disobedience put the sailors on the ship in danger because the storm was a result of his disobedience. In a spiritual sense, he left the people of Nineveh in danger as they were left without a call to repentance while Jonah disobediently tried to run away from the task God had given him.
How often do we allow the people around us to live in danger because of our choices and disobedience?
