Chaplain’s Message:

By the time the Israelites left Egypt, they had seen God work in numerous ways! Each of the plagues was a reminder of God’s power. After the Israelites left Egypt, they were reminded of God’s care and protection through the pillar of cloud during the day and the pillar of fire at night. But then they freaked out:

“As Pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtaking them. They cried out to the Lord, and they said to Moses, ‘Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? Weren’t there enough graves for us in Egypt? What have you done to us? Why did you make us leave Egypt? Didn’t we tell you this would happen while we were still in Egypt? We said, “Leave us alone! Let us be slaves to the Egyptians. It’s better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!”’” (Exodus 14:10-12 NLT).

God was leading His people in a powerful way! What did they do? They freaked out and started complaining! As we follow God’s leading in our lives, do we ever lose faith and start worrying and panicking when things aren’t going the way we want them to? May God help us to trust Him more fully each day as He helps us to thrive in our relationship with Him!
