CWAA Breeze January 19-23, 2015

Principal’s Message:

Ten Days of Prayer

For the past six days my husband and I have taken on the challenge of spending 10 days in prayer along with our church family (an initiative of the General Conference of SDA). Every day as we have studied scripture and prayed together on a prescribed theme and we have been incredibly blessed by the richness of the word of God. It has been a calming and peace-giving influence in our lives.

I would like to share two incredible promises from God’s word that have brought us great comfort and peace: “For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces, My love won’t walk away from you, My covenant commitment of peace won’t fall apart.” The God who has compassion on you says so.” (Isaiah 54:9-17) “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today… The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:13-14)

As we enter another week of service to our Heavenly Dad, may we stand firm and rest on His powerful promises. For He is our deliverer, our strength and our only hope!  To join the 10 Days of Prayer Challenge, visit!

Have a fantastic week in Jesus!

From January to the end of February, Alberta Education will be conducting its annual “Accountability Pillar Survey” (see attached information)! The Accountability Pillar Survey assesses various aspects of quality; student outcomes, provincial assessments of student learning, community engagement and satisfaction, school experience, etc. Within the next few weeks, all CWAA parents will receive a survey from Alberta Education in the mail. In February, CWAA students and all teachers will be completing their surveys online at school.  All surveys are anonymous. In addition to English and French, the parent survey is available in Chinese, Punjabi, Arabic, Blackfoot, Cree, Korean, Spanish and Tagalog. Your participation in the survey helps provide important information on the quality of education your child is receiving at CWAA, so we encourage you to return your survey promptly. Survey results will be available to school authorities in May 2015. Thank you for your participation in this important process!

Chaplain’s Message

“Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD. They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation. They exult in your righteousness. You are their glorious strength. It pleases you to make us strong.” (Psalms 89:15–17 NLT)

May you experience God’s joy as you worship Him this week in your actions, your thoughts, your attitudes, your studies, your friendships, your work, your everything!
