CWAA ANTI-BULLYING AWARENESS WEEK: On February 2-6 CWAA is proud to be participating in an Anti-Bullying Awareness Week. We are participating in this important event because we know our school (just like any other school) is not immune to bullying and we can make a difference through education and awareness! Because bullying is a community issue (and not solely a school problem), we invite all community members (parents, pastors, community partners) to join us!  We intend to use this week to build relationships among our students, educate our community (students and parents) about bullying behaviors and how to stop bullying, and engage in acts of compassion! Some of the activities that we will be doing during the week is “Caught You Caring Campaign”! Classroom pairings to build relationships and empathy skills, Anti-Bullying Chapels, Dress Up In Blue Day! (Wednesday), and wear ‘Stand Up To Bullying’ bracelets. Parents please join us in prayer as we use this event to continue building a culture of respect and compassion at CWAA! And please take the time to speak with your children about this important topic. (See attached information.)

Chaplain’s Message

We live in a world of differences. People come from different cultures, different ethnic backgrounds, different financial backgrounds, different family situations. People deal with different challenges in life – learning disabilities, physical challenges, financial challenges, relationship challenges. The list could probably go and on . . . .  But the beautiful thing is that no matter our differences or challenges, we are equal in God’s sight! May we think about this during our Anti-Bullying Awareness Week here at Chinook Winds.

“For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are His heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.” (Galatians 3:26-29 NLT).
