CWAA Breeze Oct 28 – 31

FOOD BANK FRIDAY: This Friday, October 31st is ‘Food Bank Friday’, a day in which students may wear casual attire (no uniforms). We ask each student and staff member to bring a non-perishable food item(s) to donate to our school food bank on Friday.

SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:A great big thanks!” to all of our school volunteers.  You really make a positive difference in the lives of our students and we do appreciate you!  If you haven’t had opportunity to volunteer at CWAA recently we are urging you to consider joining us. CWAA requires that each volunteer have a police clearance letter on file.  At this time we find our list of parents with record checks to be quite short and we are at risk of cancelling a number of upcoming trips due to this.  If you’d like a letter to present at your local police station when applying for a criminal record check please call the school office to have this e-mailed to you. By submitting your receipt to the school office we’re happy to reimburse you for this expense. Thanks for supporting your school by becoming a volunteer!

HERITAGE PARK FIELD TRIP: The grade 1-4 classes are going to Heritage Park on Thursday, November 6th.  Each class will be attending two workshops that are related to our social studies curriculum.  Please return the attached permission slip by Monday November 3.

Chaplain’s Message

“O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

You see me when I travel

and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.”

(Psalm 139:1-3 NLT)

Have you ever tried to hide information about yourself from others in the fear that if they knew that about you, they would judge you or not be your friend anymore? God already knows everything about us. That sounds a bit intimidating and scary, until we realize that God loves us in spite of everything He knows about us. There is no point in trying to hide anything from God. He knows it all. He loves you in spite of it all. He wants to bring peace and hope and healing – no matter what!
