Chaplain’s Message:

War. When you see or hear that word, you may think of some of the epic wars and battles that you learned about in school. You may think of some of the footage that you see in the news. But there is a war that involves every single one of us! It is not a war between nations or groups of people. It is a war between God and Satan. Some people call this war the Great Controversy. In this great war between the forces of good and the forces of evil, we get to choose which side we will be on. We also know how this war story ends – through His death on the cross, Jesus has already determined the outcome. God wins! Our role is to determine our own individual outcome by deciding which side we will be on. May each of us choose to accept Jesus’ death on our behalf and to be counted among His followers!

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:10–12 NLT)
