Chaplain’s Message:

This week is a week when many Canadians take time to remember the men and women who have risked (and, in many cases, given) their lives to defend the freedoms that we enjoy in Canada. Whether stationed here in Canada, or at some far-away outpost, the men and women of the Canadian armed forces have made significant sacrifices! I thank them for there sacrifices!

As a Christian, I can also see a clear parallel between the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces and the sacrifice made by Jesus. To purchase our ultimate freedom from sin, Jesus became a humble human stationed on this far-away planet called Earth. He lived among humans as a servant. He died an excruciating and humiliating death on a cross for people who haven’t always appreciate His sacrifice! But because of His death, we have the freedom to choose His gift of eternal life! What a Servant of Life He is to us!
