Principal’s Message:

To be a Child of God

What does it mean to be a child of God? In her book, Thoughts From the Mount of Blessings, pg. 110, Ellen White provides us with a glimpse of the privilege of being a child of God:

When you have thus made God’s service your first interest, you may ask with confidence that your own needs may be supplied. If you have renounced self and given yourself to Christ you are a member of the family of God, and everything in the Father’s house is for you. All the treasures of God are opened to you, both the world that now is and that which is to come. The ministry of angels, the gift of His Spirit, the labors of His servants—all are for you. The world, with everything in it, is yours so far as it can do you good. Even the enmity of the wicked will prove a blessing by disciplining you for heaven. If “ye are Christ’s,” “all things are yours.” (1 Corinthians 3:21, 23)

What a beautiful picture! If we simply make God our first interest, He will provide us with access to everything in His house. It’s hard to imagine this to be true. But God’s Word does not lie. If we are Christ’s, all things are ours – not only in this world but in the world to come. This truth should free us from our natural state of worry and anxiety. Should we choose to seek God first and believe, with full faith, that our Father is rich, generous, abundant in all good things, we will have access to His finest house gifts, “everything in the Father’s house is for you”. God is fully aware of each of our needs and He longs to give us the best gifts. May we spend less time worrying and fretting about our physical wants and needs, relationship conflicts, personal failures and more time believing that if we are Christ’s, all things are ours!

CHARACTER VALUE OF THE MONTH: For the month of November the school is emphasizing the character value of Self Control.

Grades K – 6

  • November 29        Report Cards will be sent home
  • December 1        Parent/Student-Teacher Conferences held from 4 pm – 8 pm

Elementary Parents, we are excited to present to you an evening of Conferences with our teachers on Thursday, December 1. The purpose of these Conferences will be to provide time for parents & students to engage in meaningful discussions with teachers about learning successes and future goals. An improvement that we have added this year is our on-line sign-up to book all Interviews. You will have access to this by using a button found on the homepage of our website We look forward to seeing you here!

STUDENT ATTENDANCE: To help the office have proper records of your child’s attendance please follow these procedures:

  • All students (elementary and secondary) who arrive after 8:30 a.m. should come through the main entrance doors and stop at the office to pick up a late slip. Students who arrive late and enter through the side doors already have their attendance recorded as “Absent Unexcused”. Attendance corrections are done at the office as the student picks up a slip.
  • Please inform the office when your child will be absent from school by e-mailing or calling the office. Your child’s attendance will be excused from record keeping done at the office and teachers will see a comment giving the reason why. If you’re e-mailing the teacher the office still needs to hear from you so that an excused absence can be given.

ROOTS OF EMPATHY: We are hopeful to have this program at our school. Please click on the attached button to find out more information and see if you can be involved.

Chaplain’s Message:

Many of us are familiar with the “Great Commission” passage in Matthew 28:19-20. In this passage, Jesus essentially tells His followers to “go” and reach people for Him! But long before Jesus told His followers to “go,” He told them to “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” (in Mark 6:31 ESV). May we not become so busy doing God’s work that we neglect to spend that quiet time with Him!
