Psalms 23 is one of my favorite passages in the Bible because it addresses our deepest needs to belong, be protected and be loved. Psalms 23 portrays God as the complete provider of all of our needs. As you reflect on the promises found in this passage, may you be comforted and strengthened to live with freedom and peace this week!
“The Lord is my Fierce Protector and my Pastor. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in His luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where He restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure, and leads me along in His footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to His name. Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near. You become my delicious feast even when my enemies dare to fight. You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; You give me all I can drink of you until my heart overflows. So why would I fear the future? For I’m being pursued only by your goodness and unfailing love. Then afterwards— when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!” Psalm 23, The Passion Translation
CWAA CHARACTER VALUE FOR APRIL: During the month of April we are focusing on the character of God – HUMILITY. The Bible says, “Be humble and give more honor to others than to yourselves.” (Philippians 2:3) So, how do we show humility? “A Christian reveals true humility by showing the gentleness of Christ, by being always ready to help others, by speaking kind words and performing unselfish acts, which elevate and enoble the most sacred message that has come to our world.” (Ellen White, Life Sketches, p. 86)

This week is our student-led week in spiritual emphasis. This (Monday) morning, we were blessed by students leading in music, speaking, etc. The theme for the week in the elementary week in spiritual emphasis is Steps to Jesus. The theme for the secondary week in spiritual emphasis is The Struggle Is Real. Please keep our school family in your prayers during this week. Pray that students and staff will grow in their relationship with Jesus and their commitment to Him throughout the week!
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.” (John 15:5-8 NLT).
