CWAA Breeze Feb 19 – 21

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR is here and we welcome all parents to drop by!   Students are able to visit the Book Fair during their scheduled class times on school hours and our family event is “Pajama Book Nooks” this Thursday!  Tomorrow evening from 6 – 8 pm we will have Book Nooks set up throughout the school.  Each Book Nook will be for a different age group and volunteers will be reading books to attending children while parents shop at the Book Fair.

ELEMENTARY SWIMMING:  Please keep in mind that swimming lessons are not scheduled for tomorrow.  Next swimming lessons are on Thursday, Feb 27.

Please be advised that the STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES scheduled in our 2013-2014 Calendar for tomorrow evening, February 20 have been postponed until WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19, 2014.  This postponement will allow us to send Term 2 Elementary Report Cards home prior to holding the Conferences.  The Conferences on March 19th are for Elementary and Secondary (Grades K – 12) and will be held from 4 – 8 pm.  Please e-mail reception@nullcwaa.net or call the school office at 403-286-5686 to schedule your appointment time.

GRADE 9 COOKIE SALE FUNDRAISER – The Grade 9 class will be selling cookies & baked goods every Tuesday to the elementary students during their lunch time at 11:30 am.  They will also be selling to the Jr. & Sr. High students both Tuesday and Thursday during their lunchtime.   The prices will range from $.25 to $1.00.  All proceeds will go towards the Grade 9 ‘End of Year Celebration’.

MUSIC DEPARTMENT is fundraising for their upcoming trip to Los Angeles in May with a Bottle Drive.  Students will be going door to door in their community in February and March to collect bottles to recycle and use the profits to fund their trip.  Parents, community members, church members and staff, please consider sending your recyclable bottles to the school to help raise money for our students to attend this trip.

PIZZA ‘N POPS CONCERT:  On Saturday night, March 8th at 7 pm, the Junior/Senior High Concert Band and Choir will present an evening of popular music with pizza and refreshments for sale.  Invite your family and friends … come and enjoy!

Chaplain’s Message

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, ‘For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.’ No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” (Romans 8:35-37 NLT)

Don’t let anything keep you from living in the light of God’s love today!

Pastor Brent Wilson
